BRICK – Preliminary reporting provided to county officials by the County Engineer suggest that the reconfiguration of Garden State Parkway Exit 91 did not cause the flooding in Greenbriar, Brick. But, investigations are ongoing.
Flooding also occurred in Ramtown, an area of Howell Township on the border of the Herbertsville section of Brick.
Both areas experienced 5-8 inches of rain in just a few short hours on Monday. Annual rainfall in New Jersey averages just 46 inches per year.
